PUTRAJAYA: Ten people with alleged links to international terrorist networks were arrested recently and detained under the Internal Security Act (ISA), Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said.
Nine of them were foreigners, he said at a post-Cabinet briefing here on Wednesday.
It is not known whether the arrests are the same ones mentioned by prominent human rights lawyer Edmund Bon on his Twitter account earlier Wednesday.
He said that about 50 people of various nationalities, including students from local universities, were arrested last Thursday under the ISA.
Bon, a member of the Abolish ISA Movement, said that 38 were later released. – thestar
